"Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino"

Romualdo Del Bianco Foundation in the occasion of the celebration of Maggio Musicale Fiorentino's 70th anniversary, the first Italian festival of music, has been co-operating to the realisation of  following exhibitions:

The first exhibition:
"Pittori e Scultori del '900 al "Maggio Musicale Fiorentino",
da Giorgio De Chirico a Giulio Paolini".
Galleria degli Uffizi, Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe

th May 2003

At the exposition will be presented approximately 70 scene sketches, 50 models of costumes and some models of the collection of "Archivio Storico del Teatro". The rigorous selection has arranged to make people understand the complexity, variety and history acquainted in Florence thanks to the experience of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

The second exhibition:
"I Pittori e gli Scultori del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino nelle raccolte d'Arte a Firenze".
Galleria degli Uffizi, ground floor, ex church of Saint Pier Scheraggio.

At the exposition will be presented oil paints or tempera drawings  that are in "Galleria d'Arte Moderna of Palazzo Pitti", of "Galleria degli Uffizi" and made by painters and sculptors that produced pictures and costumes  for "Maggio Musicale Fiorentino".

The third exhibition:
"Le carte e i documenti del "Maggio Musicale Fiorentino" - La nascita del primo festival musicale italiano."
Biblioteca Marucelliana and foyer of the Teatro Comunale.

At the exposition will be presented documents, photographies and others, in order to restore early years of the fest, with the contribution of the "Ministero per i beni Archivistici" and the "Sovrintendenza Archivistica della Toscana". Other documents will be added, coming from the Biblioteca Marucelliana  and, in particular, from its special magazines .
